CARDEX BACKGROUND
Blissey senses the sadness of nearby beings through its fur. When it encounters an unhappy person or a weakened Pokémon, it brings an egg and may stay to care for them. Pokédex accounts attribute a soothing effect on mood to these eggs. Its compassion therefore goes beyond a simple visit: it shares what it produces and sometimes accompanies the sick until they recover.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Moon describes Blissey’s fur as a sensor of nearby emotions. Pokémon Sword relates that it shares its egg with an injured Pokémon and then nurses it. Its attention to others thus begins before anyone even asks for help.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
