Mistigrix

CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Meowstic conceals powerful psychic energy beneath its ears. The eye-shaped patterns inside are its source; it generally keeps them covered to contain its powers. If it feels threatened, it can raise its ears and unleash a considerable attack. The Pokédex notes that males react particularly when defending their partners. Its apparent calm therefore depends on constant effort to hold this force back.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Y locates the source of Meowstic's power in the hidden patterns inside its ears. Pokémon Shield describes the male's protective instinct. The sex-specific trait is explicitly distinguished from this psychic ability attributed to the species.
