CARDEX BACKGROUND
Metagross is formed when two Metang join together. Its four brains work in concert to analyse a situation quickly, while its steel body lets it pin prey beneath its legs. It can also float through the air with its legs folded. On snowy peaks, the Pokédex describes it as particularly active when the cold strengthens its magnetic power. Intelligence, physical strength and environmental conditions come together in this species: its calculations never remove the need to act with its massive body.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Sword links Metagross’s activity on snowy peaks to stronger magnetic power below freezing. This detail directly connects its behaviour to the local temperature. It explains why an environment hostile to many species can favour this one.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
Metang combined to form it. With four brains, it has the intelligence of a supercomputer.Poke-BODY
