The Pokémon’s story

At night, Meowth makes the streets its hunting ground for treasures. A dropped coin or a small shiny object is enough to catch its attention. It gathers these finds with a collector's enthusiasm, building a treasure trove of its own. When it is in a good mood, it may even show its stash to its Trainer: privileged access to what matters to it.

A detail worth noticing

Meowth sm3-101's Fake Out always deals 10 damage for one Colorless Energy. If the coin lands heads, the opponent's Active Pokémon also becomes Paralyzed; on tails, the damage remains. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this printing, where chance adds a Special Condition rather than deciding the whole attack.
