CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Mantyke swims among Remoraid schools and helps defend them when a predator attacks. Despite its rounded body, it is a good swimmer. In Galar's seas, however, some seem sluggish; the Pokédex suggests colder water could explain this. In Hisui, an observer also links its evolution to time spent with Remoraid. Living among these other Pokémon therefore accompanies several aspects of its existence.

A detail worth noticing

Legends: Arceus reports that a Mantyke spending a long time with Remoraid schools eventually evolves. Shield describes another consequence of this closeness: they fight together against predators attacking the school while swimming.
