CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Joltik finds its energy on Pokémon much larger than itself. It clings to their bodies to absorb static electricity that it cannot produce alone, then stores it. Its small size accompanies a way of life based on this closeness. Behind the image of the tiny passenger lies a constant search for the resource that allows it to function.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

City-dwelling Joltik have found another source of current. Pokémon Black reports that they can absorb electricity from household sockets. Their feeding habits thus adapt to human installations, beyond the static energy collected from other Pokémon.
