CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Skull Fossil has the dual designation of Colorless Basic Pokémon and Trainer in play. Special Conditions do not affect it, and it cannot retreat. You may discard it during your turn before attacking without that counting as a Knock Out, while an actual Knock Out of this card does count as a Pokémon being Knocked Out.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The text does not exempt every departure of the Fossil from the Knock Out count. The exception concerns voluntary discard before attacking; an actual Knock Out is expressly distinguished and counted.

Printed card effect
