CARDEX BACKGROUND
Nosepass keeps its magnetic nose pointing north, which once led people to think it was completely motionless. Patient observation nevertheless reveals that it moves, even if only by about one centimeter a year. Its magnetic field attracts prey and metal objects that can form a shield. It can also react suddenly by spinning and burrowing into the ground. Its usual slowness therefore does not mean it lacks ways to defend itself.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Alpha Sapphire reports measurements putting Nosepass's movement at one centimeter a year. Pokémon Ultra Sun notes that it can suddenly burrow into the ground when threatened. Its slow everyday progress must therefore be distinguished from its emergency reactions.
