CARDEX BACKGROUND
Sunflora draws its energy from sunlight. The Pokédex says it can migrate toward sunnier regions, as though the search for light directs its travels. As fine weather approaches, the petals around its head become more vibrant. Its appearance and journeys therefore respond to the same element: sunshine. A season's warmth does not merely change the scenery it lives in; it is also reflected on its head.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Y connects Sunflora's energy with the sun and mentions migrations toward bright places. Pokémon X gives another seasonal clue: the petals around its head become more radiant as fine weather approaches.
