CARDEX BACKGROUND
The Pokémon’s story
Squirtle’s shell accompanies its every movement. On land, it becomes a refuge into which it can withdraw its limbs when danger approaches. In water, by contrast, its rounded shape and grooves ease movement. What first looks like armour also tells of a swimmer’s life: its protection contributes to its freedom of movement.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.A detail worth noticing
Squirtle svp-048's Bubble deals 20 damage and may then Paralyze the opponent's Active Pokémon if the coin lands heads. On tails, the 20 damage remains. Gemi illustrated this promo: chance adds a Special Condition rather than deciding whether the printed attack damage applies.
