CARDEX BACKGROUND
Aromatisse creates very different scents from its fur. Some are sweet and can support its allies, while others repel or discourage an opponent. This abundance has a downside for those traveling with it: after staying near Aromatisse for long enough, companions may lose their sense of smell. The Pokédex therefore does not reduce its fragrance to a pleasant charm. Its choice of scent becomes a weapon, help for the group, and sometimes an everyday nuisance.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Pokémon Shield contrasts two uses of Aromatisse's fragrances: encouraging allies or removing an enemy's desire to fight. Pokémon Sword adds a more unexpected long-term effect: companions exposed to its powerful odor eventually stop smelling it.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
