Rätselhafte Wunder / #114/132
Printed language: German · Pokémon
CARDEX BACKGROUND
Sunkern tries to move as little as possible. This preserves the nutrients it stores for evolution, while morning dew alone sustains it. Yet the Pokédex shows that it can react: when a Spearow attacks, it vigorously shakes its leaves. Its life seems motionless, but this restraint has a purpose. Every movement saved preserves its reserves, while dew supplies what it needs as it waits to change form.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Alpha Sapphire specifies that Sunkern does not eat and preserves its reserves for evolution, living on morning dew. Pokémon X reports its reaction to a Spearow: it shakes its leaves when attacked.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
