CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Barraskewda propels itself through water by rotating its tail fins. The Pokédex credits it with a speed above a hundred knots before it strikes prey and pierces it with its jaw. That jaw is compared with a spear for sharpness and steel for strength. Its hunting therefore combines very rapid momentum with a weapon at the front of its body. The same entry mentions that its flesh is unexpectedly tasty.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Shield puts Barraskewda's charge above a hundred knots, more than 185 kilometers per hour, before impact with its prey. Pokémon Sword adds an unexpected detail to this predator's portrait: its flesh is said to taste good.
