CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Cover Fossil looks at the bottom seven cards of your deck. You may reveal a Tirtouga among them and place it on your Bench, then shuffle the other cards into the deck. The Item searches for a specific name in a particular deck section without itself being played as a Pokémon or examining every remaining card.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
Tirtouga enters the Bench directly if selected among the seven inspected cards. The choice does not extend to another fossil Pokémon, and unchosen cards are shuffled back rather than left beneath the deck.

Printed card effect
Documented variants
