CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Wynaut lives in groups. With its own kind, it jostles to build endurance, then snuggles against them to sleep in a cave. Its broad smile can conceal its mood, however. To tell whether it is angry, one must watch its tail: it then strikes the ground with it. Others' company shapes its activities, but its smiling face alone does not reveal everything it feels.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Omega Ruby invites observers to watch Wynaut's tail to detect anger despite its smile. If it strikes the ground with it, its mood has changed. Shield instead describes resting moments when the group sleeps huddled together in a cave.
