CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Magneton forms when three Magnemite join together. Their brains merge too, but the Pokédex notes that this does not make it three times as intelligent. Together they produce waves strong enough to interfere with nearby computers and precision equipment. Its presence thus turns a simple union of Pokémon into a noticeable event for machines. It monitors its surroundings while continually releasing this magnetic energy.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! attributes a strange radio signal to Magneton, along with a temperature rise of two degrees Celsius within a one-kilometre radius. The entry therefore links its presence to effects perceptible well beyond its body. This is a Pokédex description, not the range of a card attack.
