CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Luxio lives in small groups and holds electricity even in the tips of its claws. It can knock prey out with a brief blow. When an opponent approaches, its extended claws signal battle. It also has a collective resource: by connecting its tail with those of its companions, it receives their current to deliver a stronger discharge. The Pokédex thus shows a species whose power depends not only on an individual, but on the group’s cooperation.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword relates that several Luxio connect their tails to transmit electricity to one of them. Pokémon Shield describes another preparation for battle: their claws deliver blows charged with a very powerful current.
