CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Tornadus crosses the sky with its lower body wrapped in energy resembling a cloud. The Pokédex credits it with high flight speed. Energy from its tail raises storms strong enough to overturn houses. Its passage would therefore be recognised less by a nest or trail than by the effects of wind on the landscape. The entries present it as a being in constant motion, capable of abruptly transforming the weather around it.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Black gives Tornadus a flight speed of 300 km/h. Pokémon White describes storms arising from the energy in its tail, capable of overturning homes. The Pokédex thus associates its speed with damage left behind by the wind.
