CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Pikachu's electricity is not only used to drive off opponents. When two Pikachu meet, they may touch tails and exchange electricity as a greeting. The gesture turns an impressive power into a sign of closeness. Behind the sparks and charged cheeks lies a way of getting acquainted that belongs to this small forest-dwelling Pokémon.

A detail worth noticing

Pikachu tk-sm-r-14 hits for 10 damage with Tail Whap. Spark deals 20 damage to the opponent's Active Pokémon and 10 to one of their Benched Pokémon, without applying Weakness or Resistance to that secondary target. kodama illustrated this printing: the second hit distributes damage between two opposing positions.
