CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Mudbray eats soil to make the mud it spreads on its hooves. This layer gives it traction on difficult terrain and supports its powerful running. Playing in mud is also part of its routine; deprived of its daily mud bath, it may become stressed and less attentive to its Trainer. Yet its body has remarkable strength: it can carry a load up to fifty times its own weight. Mud is both its pleasure and its equipment.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Shield explains that the mud on Mudbray's hooves comes from soil it swallows. Pokémon Ultra Sun connects a lack of mud baths with stress. Pokémon Sword measures its carrying capacity at fifty times its weight.
