CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Torchic follows its Trainer with still-hesitant steps. Its down and body warmth give this small companion a comforting presence. Yet the fire it keeps inside can also burst out in scorching balls. Its whole character lies in this closeness between apparent fragility and power: the Pokémon seeking to stay beside someone already has the means to defend itself.

A detail worth noticing

Torchic xy5-25 deals 20 damage with its attack for one Fire Energy. On tails, it discards a Fire Energy attached to itself; on heads, that discard does not happen. sui illustrated this printing: the flip concerns the cost after the attack rather than the damage number.
