Aurorus was brought back to life from a fossil. The diamond-shaped crystals on its body produce extremely cold air: it can raise an ice wall to stop an attack or envelop an opponent when angry. Despite this power, the Pokédex usually describes it as calm and kindly. It is also said that its cry makes auroras appear in the night sky. Its usual gentleness therefore contrasts with the formidable cold it can release.
