CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Tinkatuff builds a large, sturdy hammer with metal recovered from Pawniard and Bisharp attacked in groups. It lives among scrap heaps, where its kind also compare their weapons' toughness by striking them together. The Pokédex thus shows manufacture requiring materials, a habitat and testing. Its hammer is more than a found object: it results from repeated seizures and work whose strength can be put to the test.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Scarlet names Pawniard and Bisharp as sources of metal for Tinkatuff's hammer. Pokémon Violet places its shelters in scrap heaps and describes a surprising test between its kind: they clash hammers to measure their toughness.
