The Pokémon’s story

When Skeledirge sings, the fire bird accompanying it changes shape. A rumor says this bird was born when the fireball on its head received a soul; the Pokédex does not present that origin as certain. Skeledirge's singing also soothes the souls that hear it. Against an enemy, gentleness gives way to extremely hot flames. The two entries therefore unite music, legend and power in the same Pokémon.

Pokémon Violet credits Skeledirge's singing with soothing souls while describing flames exceeding 5,400°F. Pokémon Scarlet reports the origin of the fire bird that changes appearance when it sings as a rumor.
