CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

When Staravia becomes Staraptor, it leaves its flock to live alone. Its powerful wings and legs let it take flight while gripping a small Pokémon. In battle, it fights relentlessly, even when injured. This tenacity contrasts with its previous stage's dependence on a group. The Pokédex also credits it with particular attention to its head crest. Between solitary flight, physical strength, and a carefully maintained appearance, Staraptor commands a presence that is hard to ignore.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon X specifies that Staraptor's wing and leg muscles are developed enough to carry a small Pokémon in flight. Pokémon Black adds that it tends its crest even while fighting injured. This attention to appearance persists even during confrontation.
