CARDEX BACKGROUND
The Pokémon’s story
In myths, Reshiram is linked to those who uphold truth. Flames from its tail can propel it through the air and release enough heat to disrupt the atmosphere. Such power goes beyond an ordinary battle: the Pokédex imagines weather being transformed on a global scale. Its flight therefore carries an idea as well as a danger: a dragon that answers human convictions with immense fire.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.A detail worth noticing
According to a myth reported in Pokémon Shield, Reshiram could burn an entire country when its people disregard truth and succumb to greed. The text presents this punishment as a legend. It sheds light on the moral connection Pokémon stories draw between the dragon and human choices.
