EX Gardiens de Cristal / #10/100
Printed language: French · Pokémon
CARDEX BACKGROUND
In caverns, Sableye leads a discreet life searching for stones to eat. Its claws dig, its teeth crush, and the substances it absorbs later emerge on the surface of its body as crystals. The gems that make it so distinctive tell the story of its diet. Its mineral appearance is more than decoration: it is built from what it eats.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later. The glow of Sableye’s eyes has fed an unsettling reputation. Pokémon Moon reports a belief that it steals human spirits. The text presents this idea as a fear associated with the Pokémon, rather than a confirmed fact.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
