CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Obstagoon gained its strength through many confrontations. It crosses its arms, adopts a threatening posture and lets out a cry of remarkable power. This display can make an opponent hesitate before blows are exchanged. The Pokédex gives this maneuver a name: Obstruct. Its voice therefore does more than make noise; it accompanies a defensive stance that became its signature after a life of fighting.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword names Obstagoon's intimidating stance accompanied by a cry Obstruct. Pokémon Shield adds that it crosses its arms and that its evolution follows many battles. Its loud voice thus accompanies an attitude capable of driving an opponent back.
