CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Dipplin shares an apple with another creature: the Pokédex describes two beings that together form a single Pokémon. The visible head belongs to the one at the front, while the tail belongs to the other. They help each other within this shared covering. Their evolution was triggered by a particular apple grown in just one place. Behind the silhouette of an inhabited fruit lies constant cooperation, rather than a single creature hidden beneath the apple's skin.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Violet clearly distinguishes the two occupants: the one at the front shows its head, and the one in the core its tail. Pokémon Scarlet adds that the apple responsible for this evolution grows in a particular place, without assigning the same role to every apple.
