The story behind this Trainer card

Mela can intervene only if one of your Pokémon was Knocked Out during the opponent's last turn. You then attach a basic Fire Energy from the discard pile to one of your Pokémon. If that attachment succeeds, you fill your hand to six cards. This recovery after a recent loss therefore combines Energy preparation with new resources, with a second stage dependent on the first succeeding.

A detail worth noticing

Mela checks the opponent's last turn, not any earlier Knock Out. The draw then depends on a successful basic Fire Energy attachment. It fills the hand to six cards rather than automatically adding six.
