CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Feebas's ragged fins do not necessarily tell the story of a life of injuries: they already look that way early in its life. Often overlooked for its appearance, it nevertheless has great resilience and can live in varied environments. Its story invites a look beyond first impressions, toward the vitality that lets it persist where few people linger to look.

A detail worth noticing

Feebas ex9-49 avoids attack damage while it remains on the Bench through its Ability. In the Active Spot, its attack attempts 20 damage for Water plus Colorless, but tails cancels it. Atsuko Nishida illustrated this card: Bench protection and flip risk correspond to different positions.
