CARDEX BACKGROUND

About this Pokémon form

Fleeing a volcanic eruption, Sandslash settled in Alola's snowy mountains. Life in the snow accompanies the development of long, thick claws capable of opening a path through white expanses. It can thus cross frozen plains at high speed. Its running throws up sprays of snow behind it, while its steel spikes remain coated in ice.

Background on this form in the video games; this card’s attacks, edition and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Alolan Sandslash's icy spikes pose a double danger. Their metallic tips can inflict deep wounds, while the ice covering them also causes severe frostbite. Cold therefore contributes to their effect beyond the puncture itself.
