CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Type: Null was artificially designed for a particular mission. Its control mask limits power its creators considered dangerous, because it risked losing control. It reportedly did go berserk during an experiment, followed by a period of freezing to contain it. The Pokédex also specifies that it was modeled on a powerful Pokémon from mythology. Later, a rumor linked the creation of another individual in Galar with stolen research notes, without establishing this as fact.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Ultra Sun recounts that a Type: Null that became uncontrollable during an experiment was frozen. Pokémon Shield explains its mask's function and its intended resemblance to a mythical Pokémon. Pokémon Sword reports a rumor connecting stolen notes with a new individual created in Galar.
