About this Pokémon form

Mega Rayquaza's arrival in Pokémon GO came with a special connection to meteorites. Accumulating Mega Energy alone was not enough to unlock this form: Rayquaza first had to learn Dragon Ascent through one of these celestial objects. Its rollout at the 2023 festival made that preparation an essential step before encountering the great dragon in its Mega-Evolved form.
