CARDEX BACKGROUND
Grimmsnarl uses its long hair as an active part of its body. It wraps it around itself to increase its muscle mass and can then restrain even a Machamp. It can also release these stringy locks to seize an opponent like tentacles. The Pokédex therefore presents its hair as a mobile source of strength rather than a mere identifying feature. Depending on the situation, it strengthens its grip or lets it reach a target away from its body.
This account describes the species in the video games. It does not describe its Trainer’s history or that of this copy, and does not identify the depicted form or sex.Pokémon Sword uses Machamp as a measure of Grimmsnarl's strength: hair wrapped around its body lets it restrain one. Pokémon Shield adds that it can release its locks to grab an opponent in the manner of tentacles.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
