CARDEX BACKGROUND
About this Pokémon form
Already formidable, Gyarados becomes even more enraged through Mega Evolution. When it bursts out of the water, its speed exceeds that of sound. Its emergence sends up a column of water hundreds of meters high, compared to an underwater volcanic eruption. In Pokémon X and Y, this transformation also increases its attacking and defensive capabilities.
Background on this form in the video games; this card’s attacks, edition and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
In Pokémon X and Y, Mega Evolution replaces Gyarados's Flying type with Dark while retaining Water. This changes its weaknesses, so choosing when to transform can alter the balance against an opponent.
