CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Flutter Mane recalls a creature described in a book, without that resemblance resolving its identity. Another comparison connects it with a ghostly pterosaur mentioned in a paranormal magazine. The Pokédex immediately tempers this lead: the two share certain traits, but little more. Around this Pokémon, stories therefore accumulate faster than certainties, and a similar silhouette does not prove a common origin.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Violet compares Flutter Mane with a ghostly pterosaur mentioned in a paranormal magazine, while specifying that their common traits are limited. Scarlet refers to a creature bearing its name in a book, without confirming that the two accounts describe the same origin.
