CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Energy Search takes a basic Energy card from your deck and adds it to your hand after revealing it. You then shuffle the deck. The Item lets you select the resource you need but leaves its attachment to another action. This preparation therefore retains a step between searching and use by a Pokémon, instead of immediately supplying Energy on the field.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
Revealing the Energy found is part of this Energy Search: the opponent can see what you took. The card must be basic Energy. The text does not offer a Special Energy card as an alternative choice.
