The Pokémon’s story

Drifloon looks like an invitation to play, but the stories surrounding it mix attraction with unease. It approaches children, perhaps seeking company, then sometimes flees when they treat it roughly. Other stories attribute far darker intentions to it. Its balloon-like silhouette thus exists between an almost familiar encounter and the interpretations local people give its passage.

A detail worth noticing

Drifloon 60/142's attack deals 10 damage. During the opponent's following turn, that same Drifloon takes 10 less damage from attacks after Weakness and Resistance; protection does not cover the entire team. Miki Tanaka illustrated this printing, where a defensive effect accompanies a modest hit.
