The story behind this Trainer card

Lumiose City lets each player, once during their turn, search their deck for a Basic Pokémon and put it onto their Bench. The deck is shuffled after the search. However, a player who searches this way ends their turn. The Stadium develops the field with a significant timing drawback instead of allowing all planned actions to continue freely.

A detail worth noticing

Lumiose City's end-of-turn consequence depends on searching under its effect. The Pokémon found enters the Bench directly without passing through the hand. Each player can use this opportunity but must account for their turn being cut short.
