CARDEX BACKGROUND
The story behind this Trainer card
Revive takes a Basic Pokémon from your discard pile and puts it directly onto your Bench. That teammate therefore returns to play without passing through your hand. The effect searches nothing in the deck and does not recover cards previously attached to that Pokémon. The selection concerns a specific card in the discard pile, with being a Basic Pokémon as its requirement.
Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.A detail worth noticing
Revive chooses a Basic Pokémon card, not an Evolution Pokémon. Its destination is the Bench: the text does not allow it to be placed directly in the Active Spot. No Energy attachment accompanies this return from the discard pile.
