CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Dracozolt has powerful legs that, in the ancient times described by the Pokédex, made it difficult to defeat. Yet its strength did not prevent extinction: it supposedly exhausted the plants it fed on. Its tail muscles generate electricity, while the upper part of its body looks tiny beside the rest. Its story therefore combines locomotor power, an unusual energy source, and vulnerability to the disappearance of its food.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword attributes Dracozolt's disappearance to exhausted plant resources despite its power. Pokémon Shield locates electricity production in its tail muscles and emphasizes the size contrast between its two body sections.
