CARDEX BACKGROUND

The story behind this Trainer card

Holon Mentor requires a card to be discarded from your hand before it can be played. It then searches for up to three Basic Pokémon with one hundred HP or less each, reveals them, and adds them to your hand before shuffling. The search combines prior payment with two conditions on each Pokémon: Basic stage and an HP ceiling.

Background on this Trainer card’s printed effect; its edition, language and finish remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

The one-hundred-HP ceiling applies individually rather than to the sum of all three Pokémon. An evolved Pokémon remains excluded despite low HP, while a Basic Pokémon above the ceiling is also ineligible.
