CARDEX BACKGROUND

The role of this Energy

Holon Energy FF provides Colorless Energy. If its holder also has basic Fire Energy, it has no Weakness; with basic Fighting Energy, its attack damage ignores Resistance. These additional effects are ignored on a Pokémon-ex. The Energy therefore turns the presence of particular basic resources into two separate advantages.

Background on this Special Energy’s effect; the printed text, edition and finish of each card remain distinct.

A detail worth noticing

Basic Fire and Fighting Energy do not provide the same benefit. The former removes the holder's Weakness, while the latter concerns the defending Pokémon's Resistance when damage from the holder's attacks is calculated.
