CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Crocalor carries an egg-shaped ball of fire on its head. It is said to have appeared through its burning energy and overflowing vitality. When it spits flames, it gives a low, hoarse cry: a valve in its flame sac is connected to its vocal cords. The Pokédex thus links voice and flames to the same part of its body. Its fire appears not only in attacks but also in the shape resting on its head.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Scarlet attributes the egg-shaped fireball to the combination of Crocalor's energy and vitality. Pokémon Violet provides an anatomical detail: the valve in its flame sac is closely connected to its vocal cords.
