CARDEX BACKGROUND
Swampert senses changes in waves and tides with its fins. When these signs warn of a storm, it piles up rocks to protect its home. Its strength lets it move a stone weighing over a ton, and its eyesight remains effective even in murky water. The Pokédex brings together several qualities useful in a habitat exposed to bad weather: sensing danger in advance, preparing shelter, and finding its bearings when visibility drops.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Omega Ruby credits Swampert with the strength to drag a rock weighing over a ton and eyesight that penetrates murky water. Alpha Sapphire details the purpose of its fins: they detect signs of a storm before it protects its habitat with stones.
