The Pokémon’s story

Dwebble seeks a stone of suitable size, then hollows it out with liquid secreted from its mouth. This rock becomes its home and protection. If it loses it, Dwebble stays anxious until finding another. When suitable stones are scarce, it may even settle in a hole in Hippowdon's body. The Pokédex tells of a mobile inhabitant whose safety depends on a carefully crafted shelter.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Shield reports that Dwebble can live in Hippowdon's holes when no suitable stone is available. Pokémon White emphasizes its anxiety if its rocky home breaks. Shelter is therefore a constant need, even when it must improvise.
