CARDEX BACKGROUND
Magnezone is thought to have appeared following exposure to a particular magnetic field. Its three units generate magnetism themselves, enough to disrupt the movements of individuals that get too close: they may attract one another and become stuck together. It also flies through the sky, transmitting and receiving mysterious waves. The Pokédex also mentions radar with which it monitors its territory. Its origin remains debated, but its magnetic interactions have very concrete effects.
Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.Scientists tried to induce a Magnezone’s evolution in a laboratory, without success according to Pokémon Black. Pokémon Shield offers only a proposed explanation: a special magnetic field may have altered its body. The mechanism therefore remains a hypothesis, despite the reported experiments.
Quoted source text is retained in the card’s printed language so this exact printing can be identified. The CarDex background above is translated into English.
