CARDEX BACKGROUND
Seadra anchors itself to reefs with its tail while sleeping so that currents do not sweep it away. When awake, it can spin its body to create whirlpools that weaken prey before it sucks them in. Its dorsal spines carry venom dangerous to anyone who approaches carelessly. In males raising young, this venom becomes even stronger. The Pokédex thus connects its hold on the coral, its hunting and the protection of its family.
This account describes the species in the video games. It does not describe its Trainer’s history or that of this copy, and does not identify the depicted form or sex.Pokémon Sword notes that the venom in a male Seadra's dorsal spines grows stronger while it raises young. Pokémon Alpha Sapphire describes the whirlpools it creates to catch prey. The same body therefore serves to feed and protect a new generation.
