CARDEX BACKGROUND

The Pokémon’s story

Mienshao strings together rapid attacks with its arms, legs and the long fur on its forepaws. Its cry sometimes announces a flurry of blows so fast they are almost invisible. Against a particularly dangerous opponent, it shortens the fur on its hands with its teeth to gain even more agility. The Pokédex describes a fighter that adapts its body and pace to the difficulty of the confrontation.

Background on the species in the video games; its forms and card versions may have appeared later.

A detail worth noticing

Pokémon Sword says Mienshao bites the fur on its hands before a difficult battle to move better. Pokémon Shield credits its kicks with the strength to pulverize a large rock. Its preparation therefore targets speed as much as power.
